Determine whether the underlined value is a parameter or a statistic.

In a national survey on substance abuse, 66.4% of respondents who were full-time college students aged 18 to 22 reported using alcohol within the past month.

Is the value a parameter or a statistic?
Statistic
Parameter

Note that a parameter is a numerical value that describes a population, for example, the population mean, the population proportion, the population standard deviation e.t.c normally every participant is involved in the calculation of the parameter. On the other hand, a statistic is a numerical value describing the characteristics of a sample data.  A statistic is used to estimate a parameter.

The case above is a parameter because all the respondents were members of the population.
