A polling website publishes the results of a new survey each day. At the end of the survey​ results, you'll find a statement that includes an explanation such as the one shown below. Complete parts a and b below.
These results are based on​ face-to-face interviews with​ 1,000 adults, aged 15 and​ older, conducted in 2015 in several countries. For results based on the total sample of national​ adults, one can say with​ 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error ranges from +/-3.4 
percentage point to plus or minus 4.0 percentage points. The margin of error reflects the influence of data weighting. In addition to sampling​ error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.
